yPress Release | For April, 2007z
For the month of April, we are proud to present two superb exhibitions.
The second exhibition, entitled gJapan Art Festival in New York,h is a 16-artist group exhibition, and will run from April 18th through May 1st.
The exhibition features 16 Japanese artists from the field of traditional Japanese paintings, sumi paintings and Western paintings, with each artist contributing one artwork. While they differ in their age and generation, all 16 artists are current creative leaders in their genre in Japan. Seeing works by these artists will provide viewers with an ideal opportunity to examine the way techniques and materials as well as versatility of traditional Japanese art are adapted into todayfs art and understand the sensitivity of modern Japanese artists.
gJapan Art Festival in New Yorkh is presented by Artcross Inc., a company specialized in promoting all kinds of artworks through exhibitions and art publications. The company has successfully planned and hosted several international exhibitions including Amsterdam (2003, 2004) and New York City (2004). In 2006, they held a special exhibition in Prague sponsored by Czech Art Foundation.
