Art Deco Series

Walking in Midtown Manhattan, we can see extraordinary examples of iconic Art Deco architecture: Rockefeller Center, The Empire State Building, The Chrysler Building, the Waldorf Astoria. The stylized elegance of the repetitive geometric patterns along with whimsy brings to mind the glamour of the Hollywood movies of the 1920’s and 1930’s.

I am drawn to austere geometric designs of Art Deco beads or that evoke Art Deco design to me. One of my favorite places to go bead hunting is the Clignancourt flea market in Paris. I’ve found treasures on every occasion I’ve had the fortune to visit there.
