Japan Art Festival II

�NY Coo Gallery in June features a 15-artist group exhibition entitled “Japan Art Festival II.” It is a follow-up to “Japan Art Festival in New York I,” our April 2007 exhibition. Both exhibitions are presented by Artcross, Inc.

With each artist contributing one artwork, the exhibition showcases 15 works with varying styles and techniques. They include mineral pigments (traditional Japanese paints) on rice paper, oil and acrylic paintings.
From still life and portraits to landscape and abstract paintings, the exhibition brings 15 works that reflect traditional Japanese beauty and superb originality to New York City for the first time.

Artcross, Inc., a Japanese company specialized in promoting art both in Japan and abroad through exhibitions and art publications, has successfully planned and hosted several international exhibitions including in Amsterdam (2003, 2004) where over 100 works were displayed, and New York City (2004). In 2006, the company organized a special art exhibition in Prague sponsored by the Czech Art Foundation. Artcross, Inc. is also active in Japan, especially in and around Yokohama area where the company has held exhibitions (paintings, sho − Japanese calligraphy, etc.) on a regular basis.
